Governance Reform University Management and Student Services

Student Service Center (Academic and Student Life)

As a coordinator of a consortium of Georgian and Armenian HEIs, Ilia State University (former Ilia Chavchavadze State University) in Tbilisi, Georgia is developing a proposal under Tempus IV third call for proposals in the field of Governance Reform (regional priority for ENPI East “University management and student services”). The project strives to establish a Student Service Center which will be committed to assisting incoming and current students in gathering university and studies related information over a short period of time. Apart from the academic niche, the Center will also put an emphasis on a cultural side of the university life.

The basic function of the Student Service Center will be the following:

  • To Provide information on courses, enrollment/registration, housing, extra-curricular activities and cultural events on and off campus.

  • Electronic listserv ( university mail) and updatable Information Board will serve as the means of information exchange.

Student Service Center will be centered around the “Info-Point”- a kick-off spot to obtain the basic information about the university related activities. A more detailed explanation will be provided by corresponding units of Registration and Academic Orientation, Cultural and Athletic Services and Scholarships, Employment and Housing Services.

We are currently in search for the relevant European partners, who may be interested in the proposed project led by Ilia State University.
